Valentines day inspiration

Can you believe Valentines day is just around the corner? As tough and miserable a month January has been it's actually flown by! Hello February. February is actually a really good month for me as we usually head off for some winter sun around about this time. It's also my birthday month AND it's Valentines day. That's a lot to celebrate.

When it comes to valentines day, whilst roses and chocolates are nice, they can be a little bit of a cliche this time of year. And trust me, a girls can smell a petrol station bunch and box a mile off. In fact, ... Read More

SALE PICKS

Aquazzura £168 from £420 Net A Porter
Sales, you either love them or hate them. For me Sale shopping has to be done online, I hate trawling sale rails in store and I have come to the conclusion that generally you will waste your time looking for anything you like, that is available in your size. You are also way more likely to make rash purchases. The same theory applies when I am looking for the girls. Although I must admit I did find a beautiful grey coat for A last weekend in the COS sale. But that must have been fate as it was literally the only one there and happened to be in her size.

BABY BONNET

17 Nov

bonnet 1
As an Instagram addict, fuelled by both my blog and also my business, I basically make every single one of my purchases these days from something I have seen on one of those tiny little squares. (Unless it's Zara!) My community of like minded mums, mum bosses, friends and family, is constantly fuelling my shopping desires. Much to my husbands annoyance.

My latest obsession is baby bonnets. There is literally nothing cuter than a little one in a bonnet. Styles for summer in floral or liberty print will always catch my eye. For winter I like Read More

CHRISTMAS PAJAMAS

16 Nov

Kath kitson
One tradition in our house is new Pajamas to wear on Christmas eve. I love seeking out my favourite pair for the girls and each year the offering becomes greater and greater, making the task harder and harder. If you know me you will know I am indecisive at the best of times. Which is my favourite?

Go-to's include Gap Kids and The Little White Company. I think it's important for sleepwear to be as soft and comfortable as possible and both brands seem to offer a lovely quality. They also have sweet designs that are not too colourful or garish, for both boys, girls and us mamas. ... Read More

SUDIO SWEDEN. CHIC WIRELESS EARPHONES

I don't often listen to music these days. i'm not sure why, aside from the fact that we no longer own a cd player (who does?) and I literally have no idea how to download a song! I think maybe it's also to do with having children. Life is a constant rush that there never seems to be the opportunity. The one time I do get to listen to music is in the car, but only when the girls are not with me. My youngest especially hates having music on in the car as it means she can't talk. She loves to talk and does not appreciate having to compete against the radio. Which is fair enough and anyway, I love ... Read More

THE JOOLZ DAY 2. WHY’S IT BETTER THAN THE FIRST?

2 Nov

joolz day 2
Before I discovered Joolz It was Bugaboo. I loved my Chameleon and it severed me well when Annabella was a baby. But when Evelyn came along my head was turned by these new kids on the block. I received my Joolz Day just before she was born, and I haven't looked back since. You probably knew this already? And are wondering where i'm going with this post? Well, as the title suggests it's now all about the Joolz Day 2. The question is, how can it really be any better than the one I've got?

  • Well there are several main points to mention when introducing the ... Read More

OUTSIDE THE LINES

lookbook
I don't know about you but I have found that as soon as Annabella turned three our favourite high street stores; Zara, Mango, Gap Kids just decided to give up? Their collections, bar a few pieces, went down hill, in terms of both quality and style. As a result I have been forced to do all my shopping for her online. Thankfully there are a wealth of adorable independent children's boutiques out there. And I am constantly discovering new ones.

Old favourites include Greenberry kids, Ali Oli, Mama Owl to name a few. I have also recently discovered so exciting new boutiques ... Read More

WINTER COATS

14 Oct

zara coat
Last winter I purchased my dream coat from Net A Porter. Grey, oversized, long-length and wool. I can't actually emphasis how long I was looking for this exact coat. It was quite expensive, even on sale, but you know when you just fall in love with something and have to have it no matter what? Well that happened. And it turns out it was actually quite the investment as I wore it literally every day. I am looking forward to doing the same this winter.

As a result I'm not really in the market for a new winter coat this year. I don't think I can ever beat the one I ... Read More

WIDE-FITTING CHILDREN’S SHOES

29 Sep

Young Soles
My first daughter has lovely slim feet, and can literally wear any kind of shoe. She has quite the collection in-fact. So when I found out I was having another girl I was pleased to think that these could then be handed down. It made me feel a lot less guilty for all those purchases. However, when Evelyn was fitted for her first pair of shoes I was gutted to discover that her feet were going to be far to wide for any of her sisters beautiful hand-me-downs.

Nevermind I thought, that's a good excuse for me to invest in her very own shoe collection. Little did I know that it would ... Read More

MAMA OWL

15 Sep

minimalisma kids 1
Mama Owl is my new obsession. The most gorgeous collection of childrenswear featuring some adorable and unique brands for ages 0-8 years old. I just spotted they are now stockists of Minamalisa for example. Those silk seamless bodies are a dream and they go up to age 6, which is such a rarity. Organic designs and merino wool are also in abundance. Perfect if you are starting to think about AW.

Other favourites from their collection include Misha and puff (the popcorn sweaters!) and Poudre Organic. I really struggle to find collared bodies and t ... Read More
