CHILDREN’S TABLEWARE

20 Aug

Mouk
I don't know about you, but I am actually a little fussy when it comes to my children's tableware. As soon as it's time to start weaning one of the most exciting parts is investing in new tableware. Weaning is a messy and often stressful business so it's important to add a little bit of fun wherever you can. A sweet tableware set is actually a fun way of making mealtimes more exciting. Especially if said set features a favourite story or children's character.

Although a pretty obvious and necessary part of new motherhood, children's tableware is actually a bit of a minefield. Th ... Read More

LUST-LIST

Suede shoe
We have just returned from another wonderful summer in Italy and instantaneously I am feeling the cold! It may still be August but judging by the current weather forecasts 'that great British summer' is long gone. So for now, sartorially, thoughts have turned to Autumn. I'm now thinking pieces that will see me through to winter.

Suede is top of my list for the new season. I fell in love with a suede trench at the beginning of summer which I wore to bits already. Sadly it's gone missing?? How can that happen - last seen in my car. I think about that coat always...Anyway, with sue ... Read More

BABYSTYLE EGG

Egg stroller
As you know I am a huge Joolz fan. When it comes to baby transportation for me my Joolz wins hands down. I have worked a lot with this brand through my blog and was even lucky enough to receive a brand new Studio Noir when my second daughter arrived. So you may think I'm biased. However, I'm still using it 16 months in and not for one second have I thought of changing. Or even though about going back to my original Bugaboo Chameleon. Need I say more?  However, I do always keep my eyes and ears open to what's new out there in the market, and one newbie has really caught my eye. Purely from a l ... Read More

OFF THE SHOULDER

I wasn't 100% sure about the off-the-shoulder look at first. Perhaps a little too bohemian for my style, and definitely not something I was dying to add to my wardrobe. But as with all these things, you never know before you try. On this occasion I was actually pleasantly surprised.

Looking further into the trend, and now knowing it can work with my more minimal style, I have started to notice more and more off-shoulder pieces I am wanting to add. Although I am still thinking sensibly. As with most trends, it's best not to get too carried away. Sticking to just one or two more c ... Read More

LIBERTY PRINT

Coco and Wolf little B
I love anything pretty. So i'm very lucky to have two girls. When it comes to nursery and bedroom style (or clothing) I can go all out.  My latest love is Coco & Wolf. Handmade in England with vintage styling, and Liberty print is in abundance. From a full liberty-fabric-dress, to a more subtle collar detail, their children's clothing collection is currently one of my favourites. C&W have also just launched the most beautiful bedding and accessories, which is what I am currently most excited about.

We recently returned from a couple of weeks in Italy where my youngest ( ... Read More

SWIMWEAR

Anthro
Who knew? Anthropologie I have just discovered have perhaps the most amazing collection of swimwear. Ever. And just in time for the summer holidays which is even more exciting.

Aside from shoes and bags, I think swimwear is one of my favourite thing to shop for. I'm always on the look out for new additions. You can't really ever have enough costumes right? (It's also almost nearly pregnancy-proof when it comes to what you can and cannot wear. At least the first couple of trimesters anyway.)  So what's so great about Anthropologies collection? High-waists, structured tops and b ... Read More

CLEARANCE

16 Jul

clearance
It's important to remember when shopping the sales - even those amazing bargain clearance items - would I want it full price? If the answer is no then look away.

To avoid being fooled by a discount I like to keep things simple. Searching out classic and timeless pieces means you won't go wrong. Stick to what you know (and wear) best. Denim, cami-basics and a great pair of flats are always a great place to start. I also like to search beachwear and bags. We always head off for some kind of winter sun and finding new holiday pieces in the Winter is near-all impossible. Amongst all ... Read More

FROZEN-ESQUE PARTY

Whilst planning my daughter's fourth birthday party last month I stumbled across the sweetest personalised cake topper's via Instagram. Clara Ivy (claryivy.bigcartel.com) hand-makes any word, number or phrase in a choice of finishes to suit your theme. I feel in love, instantly.

The theme for our party was (of course) Frozen but I didn't want the more obvious style frozen cake - I wan't something a little more sophisticated and also a little different. I followed the ombre style of this sweet pink cake, swapping to frozen colours and a matching rainbow filling.  The glitter sil ... Read More

JEM + BEA LUXURY CHANGING BAGS

AHP-01-7318
Even before I was pregnant I have always been a little obsessed with baby changing bags. I working on the design and development of a luxury said accessories brand, way before the market even thought about taking off. Now, five years later and two babies down, the world of baby bags has become a lot more mainstream. Just like the regular accessories market there is pretty much a style, colour, shape and price-point, to suit any new mum (or dad) to be. However the majority of these brands are still very much baby inspired. A little too colourful, a little too Mumzy. So still, I get excited when ... Read More

FINERY LONDON

Finery dress
Perhaps not one for those expecting, but worth a bookmark for post-baby treats. A new discovery of mine - Finery London.

As quoted by Vogue: 'Chic, shockingly affordable and very well designed' FineryLondon.com is my kinda online boutique. With a hint of Scandinavian styling, bold prints and masculine silhouettes, there are more than a few looks I wouldn't mind being updated with right now. Favourites include a modern tie-waist jumpsuit and Ivory organza dress, which I think has a real Victoria Beckham vibe. (Maybe not worn with those shoes however. A Saint Laurent Jane would be ...
