Heavenly Bump maternity Polka dot tunic

Carole Jackman, Executive Assistant at Deloitte Management Consultancy, 30 weeks pregnant with her first baby. Due April 3rd.

Carole has kindly reviewed the fabulous maternity wear brand Heavenly Bump maternity. Carole is pictured above modelling their Polka Dot, Bow Front maternity tunic, £28.

As soon as I put it on I instantly liked the neckline, it felt comfortable and “safe” (i.e. no risk of anything up top escaping without me noticing). This is unlike a number of maternity dresses I have been wearing over the last few weeks – most of them I need to wear a vest on underneath as they are quite low cut.
I must admit that the high waistline, pulled in under the boobs, made me feel bigger but that’s probably just because I have been usedto wearing slightly tighter tops around my bump.  But the girls at work said it was actually more slimming – so I will take their word for it J
I am currently wearing the top with some black trousers which makes it smart enough to wear for work, but coupling it with leggings or skinny jeans will make it a great casual weekend outfit.
After bump arrives I would definitely keep wearing this top – it’s not only comfortable, flattering (thank you again girls at work) and think it will be great when breastfeeding as the neckline looks like it can easily be pulled down to allow me to nurse the little one without having to lift the whole outfit up (not sure my local coffee shop would appreciate that look).
