On Tuesday A and I attended the Startrite shoes press day in London. It was a fun-filled afternoon with clowns, magic, music and of course, lots of shoes!

In attendance were some of my favorite bloggers, magazines and independent press – All there to view the latest in babies and children’s footwear, from one of the UK’s largest footwear brands.

As you can imagine A and I were in shoe heaven. The current collections for Spring/Summer are utterly divine! Think patent-pastels, bows and printed canvas for the girls and super-cool boat shoes, denim sneakers and lace-detail-loafers for the boys! For Autumn Winter there is much of the same, just in more muted tones of grey, black and brown. Each collection features styles derived from the catwalk that have been cleverly translated for little feet, combining fashion and functionality. This is a great achievement as you are probably aware – Style and practicality do not usually go hand in hand when it comes to children’s and babies shoes.

As well as the latest Startrite collections we were given a sneak peak at the new designs from Myleene Klass. Myleene is the brand ambassador and has her own limited edition range under the Startrite umbrella. I could not decide which were my favorite styles as I basically loved them all. The trademark Myleene leopard print was in abundance. Like Louboutin and his red sole, leopard lining comes as standard. Her collection for the boys was equally as  stylish – I just love the Brogues, perfect footwear for little gentlemen.

Excitingly, A also made her Catwalk début, taking part in a mini fashion show featuring shoes from the collection. As you can imagine this was utterly adorable. She was the perfect model and un-fazed by all the strange faces and bright lights as she took to the runway. I was one super proud mum. (As were all the other mums that had their gorgeous little ones taking part.)

Thank you for inviting us Startrite and for our new red shoes! J’adore.
