As you will probably know iconic American label J Crew is now available to shop here in the UK, and I have just discovered they also do a fabulous collection of maternity pants. Baby-bump styles in the signature J Crew denim. If only I had known this earlier. (More importantly why didn't I know this earlier!?)

J crew style is very distinctive - casual, cool and a little bit chic. It's one of those brands that fails to get it wrong when it comes to the everyday classics. Maternity jeans no-doubt then will be fabulous. A lot of pregnant women still refuse to buy into mate ... Read More

Peacock-print, French Blossom Boutique
It's coming to that time again, new shoes for A. I love shoes and love shopping for mini-shoes. Spring is in the air and Summer just around the corner, which means those wear-with-all winter boots will soon become redundant. Even though this makes me a little bit sad, knowing those favourites will never get worn again (they grow too fast), it is also super exciting shopping for those new additions.

Thankfully children's footwear has come a long way. Clarks?! This makes mini-shoe shopping a lot easier, but at the same time a lot harder. Being sensible you can't g ... Read More

Yesterday I began to pack my hospital bag, starting with some beauty essentials. Perhaps not the most important contents of said bag, but still pretty crucial to make my trip (and possible overnight stay) a little more luxurious. Let's face it hospitals are far from it, so I need all the help I can get.

I have always been one of those girls that follows a strict skincare regime - cleanse, tone and moisturise - no matter what. The same will be the case at that time in the next few weeks. As soon as I get the opportunity I will be in that shower, hair washed, cl ... Read More

Valentines day when you are 36 weeks pregnant is not as exciting/glamorous as it perhaps should be. But I was not going to let any bump get in my way, and my husband and I still managed a little date-night. (Probably one of our last before the new arrival.) Nothing too spectacular, and not far from home - It was a candlelit dinner followed by the cinema. I was most excited about the cinema. I cannot remember the last time we went, literally. I think it was James Bond. The Wolf of Wall Street was fantastic BTW.

For date-night then, the perfect look (in my eyes) thanks to ... Read More

As B-day is fast approaching I am starting to think about nursing, and more importantly nursing attire. You think it's hard to remain stylish whilst pregnant, that's nothing compared to the same challenge if you are planning to breastfeed. Enter the shirt. Buttons and breastfeeding are the perfect combination.

I have to tell you there are basically no chic breastfeeding clothes out there. The likes of Babes with Babies and Isabella Oliver have some options, basic vests with those pull down-clips, poncho's and knits. I lived in my foxy feeders for example. Other than tha ... Read More

Phoebe coleman bird
I always used to be a chunky-jewels kinda girl but for some reason or another my style has changed and I find myself more and more drawn to those delicate, simplistic pieces. Alex Monroe and Monica Vinader are my go-to designers of choice, but more recently I have fallen in love with newcomer Phoebe Coleman. The Notting Hill based designer offers something slightly unique and totally chic. I would happily make room in my jewelry box for a number of her pieces.  Those pretty little rings especially are totally wearable.

It's a bit late for Valentine's Day but my 30th i ... Read More

Once again Gwen Stafani steals the crown in the maternity style steaks. (Well mine anyway.) Dressed in a chic all black ensemble, and some killer heels, there are no signs the heavily pregnant star is intending to let her fashion credentials slip. I do wonder though if behind doors she too lives in leggings and flats?

Leggings aside, a pair of leather pants have fast become a maternity wardrobe staple, and thankfully several maternity labels have taken note. Isabella Oliver do the perfect pair. Wear-with-all day and night they will last throughout your pregnancy and be ... Read More

You may have seen the recent press photo's from the Madderson womenswear launch party? If so you will have already had a sneak peak at Amelie (my outfit of choice.) If not here are some more pictures, and why I think Amelie is simply stunning : Style diary look 5.

Delicate silk, gold lace trim, spaghetti straps and the perfect loose-fitting silhouette are the combination for this favourite party piece. Every girl needs something chic in her maternity wardrobe and Amelie may just be it. I love this dress, loved wearing it, and will probably wear it all summer - ... Read More

Yipee (!) The Topshop unique SS14 collection has finally landed and once again it does not disappoint. Unique's slouchy, over-sized designs that we all know and love are in abundance - re-worked into barely-there sundresses, chic prints and that beautiful blue. The tweed fringed shorts and jacket, with a subtle nod to Chanel, is just divine . I basically want it all.

This is a collection that is not only stylish but totally baby-bump friendly. Great for hiding a multitude of sins post birth. (minus those crop-tops.) Investment pieces at your fingertips, that will not on ... Read More

The sun has finally been shining today and as a result I have been inspired to search out some favourite mini-looks for SS14. A is in desperate need of some new clothes and as Mr. Sunshine is telling me (today at least) Spring is just around the corner.

So, where am I going to be shopping for these cute new SS threads? To be honest I think the internet is the best place to be. I am currently in love with online boutiques such as Orefo (some of the coolest brands you will never have heard of but just have to have. And Oeuf NY). Waddler, a really stylish little nordic brand I have ... Read More
