My official due date is now just two days away. The wait is on. It could however be another two weeks (!) so I am trying to keep busy in the hope that time does not drag…
Yesterday I heading into London for some beauty treatments with London Mother’s Club at the Cowshed Spa in Selfridges. It was so nice to be treated to a little bit of pampering. My pedicure included an extremely relaxing neck, shoulder and head massage, as well as a foot and leg massage. Cowshed offer a whole range of treatments as well as specifically tailored mum-to-be packages, so well worth a visit. All their products are natural and safe to use in pregnancy so you can treat yourself to some takeaways too. The ‘baby cow’ range is gorgeous.
After our treatments (Kerrie-Anne opted for a facial) we headed upstairs to the new Aubaine (trying to avoid the shoe lounge) where we had a meeting with the gorgeous Ombeline, new head of PR and Marketing. If you are aware of London Mothers Club you will know that Aubaine is a favourite place for hosting events. To date there have been secret suppers, brunches and summer picnics. As a chic French eatery Aubaine is the place to visit for a delicious lunch or supper, and their Macaroons are the best in town. I also recommend the Sea Bass main. And the Puy lentils Provençale on the side. Yum!
We were later joined by the girls from My Child World who are in the process of launching an exciting new platform. So make sure you watch this space. London Mothers and Mumzynot have recently teamed up as partners and we are working on some really exciting projects.
As you can imagine I was totally shattered after such a busy day but am glad I made the trip central. I was in two minds about going just in case my waters broke and I had the baby on the train. (But I think the emergency towels in my bag acted as a great preventative method. If I was unprepared- sods law as they say.) Although I was secretly hoping.
Love Jess x
