KATE SPADE + GAP KIDS

30 Oct

You heard it here first. Kate Spade NY for Gap Kids has just launched online and in store.

Think colour-pop clothing and accessories for both boys and girls in a limited edition collection. A real nod towards the Kate Spade signature in-keeping with the wear-ability of GAP Kids. Perhaps one of the best collaboration yet? I'm not convinced. For me it's the Jack Spade boys designs that stand out, I love the grown-up feel. Don't get me wrong there are also some cute pieces for the girls. My picks; the bow-print dress and ballerina pumps. But if I were to buy one thing it would be f ... Read More

WINTER SUN

23 Oct

Sunuva 1
We are off for some much needed winter sun in a couple of weeks and in preparation I have been searching for a few new editions for the girls. Luckily most of their summer wardrobe still fits, (thank goodness as it's always impossible to buy summer clothes in the winter!) but one thing I do desperately need is swimwear, specifically UV cover-up types.

A will be able to go to kids-club this trip (yipee's all around) so I feel it would be a good idea to invest in one or two of those UV rash vests. After a bit of google searching, 'Kids UV sun-suits' a good start, I discovered Sunu ... Read More

BLANKET CAPES

21 Oct

Blake-Lively
So in case you haven't already noticed, perhaps one of the biggest trends this Autumn/Winter has to be the blanket cape. Burberry set the scene with theirΒ monogrammed ProrsumΒ blanket, taken straight from the runway onto the shoulders of the fashion elite. Then as is most things Burberry, the fashion world followed suit.

We cannot all afford in excess of Β£500 for the real-deal, (and personally I wouldn't spend that much for a seasonal piece that probably won't last more than one anyway..) but luckily there is a great choice of just-as-chic alternatives. What is just so great a ... Read More

LOUNGING

Maje
Being pregnant, especially during that third trimester, requires a total amount of comfort. But comfort and style can come hand in hand.

I'm no longer with bump but I can still speak with experience; For the most part, towards the end, lounging was the name of the game. Be it at home, on the school run or sitting at a desk, I pretty much had it mastered. Isabella Oliver was my go-to, and new pregnancy portal Nine In The Mirror would also have featured heavily (damn you, six months too late!) Choosing styles wisely means they can remain post-bump. I still pull on those f ... Read More

CUCUKA

Brought to my attention just a few weeks ago, Cucuka leather changing bags: Coming very soon, and most coveted. I might even go as far as to say perhaps the chic new 'it' bag for stylish mums.

You know the spiel, so I won't go into that practicality side of things again (!). Quickly and foremost, think buttery soft leather, gorgeous looks and a designer quality. Cucuka is my kind of arm candy then, and it just so happens to have that required function. Don't mind if I do. My name will most definitely be going on that list. How about you?

A NEW ADVENTURE

Cottage toys pic
So things have been super-hectic this past few weeks as you will know from my lack of posts lately. Well one main reason for this, aside from a six-month old and a three year old, is the fact that I have taken on an exciting new project. Say hello to my new baby, Cottage-Toys.

The family business has now come into my hands. With the help of my brother, I have been excitedly re-launching our gorgeous online children's and baby boutique, which as you can imagine is very exciting. There is lots to do and at times it has been stressful, but there is also a bit of fun involved. What ... Read More
