EXCITING NEW ACCESSORIES FOR JOOLZ

15 Dec

Jollz car seat
Sorry for the lack of posts recently. The few months pre-Christmas are literally my busiest time of year. My business, selling traditional and wooden children's toys, so that kind of makes sense! I am so looking forward to some time off over Christmas and New Year. I will be heading back re-fuelled and re-charged for an exciting 2016. Gosh that sounds funny doesn't it. Seems like 2006 only the other day.

Anyway, time being precious, a blog update from me needed to be motivated by something exciting and extra special. And it is. Joolz, my most recommende ... Read More

CHILDREN’S BEDLINEN BY HOLLYHOCK HOME

3 Dec

Holly.hock-home
One of the best things about Instagram (and also one of the best places to catch up with me in between posts) is discovering unique new brands. I recently came across the perfect example of a wonderful new discovery. And just in time as i'm currently in the process of making the transition for E from a cot to cot-bed. We are just about to take the sides of her cot and introduce her very own duvet, which in turn requires that special first bed linen. Introducing Hollyhock home.

Hollyhock home is perhaps the most beautiful, vintage-styled design ... Read More

LUXURY GIFT IDEAS FOR MUM

25 Nov

Gift ideas
I have been thinking a lot about what I might like for Christmas. My husband asked me the other day and I must admit I wasn't really too sure. As a 'mum' there isn't really anything too specific that I fancy. Previously, and as Mumzynot started out as a proper mummy blog, I would have endless gift ideas all baby related. Now, the girls are getting bigger and all those mum-type gifts are no longer part of the equation. However, being a girl, not just a mum, there are a few things I wouldn't mind discovering under the tree come Christmas morning.

First on ... Read More

THE PERFECT PARTY PIECES. LE-MU LONDON.

16 Nov

FullSizeRender (3)
As party season fast approaches thoughts turn to Christmas outfits. What to wear for all those festive parties and birthday celebrations? In our family October through to December is super-busy birthday wise! That's before we even get to Christmas eve or New Year. So with lunches, drinks and dinners in abundance it's important to be outfit-ready. There's nothing more stressful than realising you have nothing to wear.

My own wardrobe dilemmas aside, when it comes to the girls outfit selection can be just as fraught. I have learnt from experience that it's way more beneficial inve ... Read More

CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS FOR THE GIRLS

4 Nov

Kukkia Magic board £49.95
So we may only just have made it into November, and you may feel it's still too early to be really thinking about Christmas, but seeing as it's my favourite time of year I can't wait to get thinking, planning and buying! Plus, there are actually only seven weekends left. When you look at it like that?

First up it's the girls. There is SO much inspiration out there, it really is necessary to have a good think before going full steam ahead. As with everything else, I like to buy fewer more quality gifts. Toys that I know will remain post-Christmas, rather than ones that w ... Read More

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONSOON!

2 Nov

IMG_1235
Last weekend A and I were invited to an exclusive party, to celebrate 20 years of Monsoon Kids. Held at the Tower of London, upon arrival we were transported into a magical woodland world. There were many highlights from the day and the face painting was out of this world. I could never imagine a more beautiful unicorn! Just for fun A and I decided to wear matching Monsoon looks. Not something I would usually do, but it seemed more than appropriate on this occasion, and actually rather a cute idea.

Celebrations aside, we got to view some of their new season pieces. I fell in lov ... Read More

JURLIQUE BABY SKINCARE

21 Oct

IMG_0940
So you already know I'm a Jurlique fan. Rosewater mist is a permanent fixture on my bathroom shelf, in my gym bag, handbag and at the time hospital bag. I basically can't live without it when i'm feeling tired and my skin needs a boost. (All the time.) So it was really exciting to discover that there is also a range for the little ones. I never knew?

I received a gorgeous package just the other day with all the necessary baby bits. Lavender infused essential oils that are designed to soothe and care for a babies sensitive skin, found within a barrier cream, moisturiser, ... Read More

ZARA MATERNITY WEAR

15 Oct

Zara blouse
So I was just browsing Zara on-line for the girls (and for me) and noticed a new maternity section. About time Zara. Great news. It should be good.

Although very limited their maternity pieces don't disappoint. Out of the 11 items on offer (four are 'mum' jeans) I would happily pick any one to wear myself. The minimal and roomy feel is perfect, looking comfortable whilst retaining style. I would perhaps sum it up as a capsule collection for pregnancy. Day to night dress. check. Jeans. check. Blouse. check. My favourite piece is probably the faux leather dress, which I w ... Read More

TIMELESS BEAUTY WITH LOQUET LONDON

12 Oct

Loquet
One piece of jewellery that I have wanted for quite some time now is a necklace. I like the idea of something personal, and up until now a Monica Vinader engraved pendant was top of my list. Ever since having my daughters I have wanted some jewellery to represent their birth, our life and love. I have wanted a personalised necklace that I can wear everyday and never take off. Then I came across Loquet.

Loquet is still a relatively new name in the world of luxury jewellery. A British concept created by Sheherazade Goldsmith with Laura Bailey that launched in June ... Read More

THE WINTER CAPE MAKES A COMBACK

7 Oct

Joseph
Pretty much every winter the cape makes a comeback. I have several styles in my wardrobe that I can't wait to bring out from hibernation as soon as the weather takes a turn. I have in-fact got a gorgeous tartan cape that I got when I was still at university. This just goes to show the capes longevity.

As with most things sartorially, even if you do have something similar on rotation, there's always the need for an update. Especially when you know it will be well worth the investment. I would like to add here too, that the cape is the perfect cosy, yet cool, cover-up in pregnancy ... Read More
