CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS FOR THE GIRLS

4 Nov

Kukkia Magic board £49.95
So we may only just have made it into November, and you may feel it's still too early to be really thinking about Christmas, but seeing as it's my favourite time of year I can't wait to get thinking, planning and buying! Plus, there are actually only seven weekends left. When you look at it like that?

First up it's the girls. There is SO much inspiration out there, it really is necessary to have a good think before going full steam ahead. As with everything else, I like to buy fewer more quality gifts. Toys that I know will remain post-Christmas, rather than ones that w ... Read More

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONSOON!

2 Nov

IMG_1235
Last weekend A and I were invited to an exclusive party, to celebrate 20 years of Monsoon Kids. Held at the Tower of London, upon arrival we were transported into a magical woodland world. There were many highlights from the day and the face painting was out of this world. I could never imagine a more beautiful unicorn! Just for fun A and I decided to wear matching Monsoon looks. Not something I would usually do, but it seemed more than appropriate on this occasion, and actually rather a cute idea.

Celebrations aside, we got to view some of their new season pieces. I fell in lov ... Read More

JURLIQUE BABY SKINCARE

21 Oct

IMG_0940
So you already know I'm a Jurlique fan. Rosewater mist is a permanent fixture on my bathroom shelf, in my gym bag, handbag and at the time hospital bag. I basically can't live without it when i'm feeling tired and my skin needs a boost. (All the time.) So it was really exciting to discover that there is also a range for the little ones. I never knew?

I received a gorgeous package just the other day with all the necessary baby bits. Lavender infused essential oils that are designed to soothe and care for a babies sensitive skin, found within a barrier cream, moisturiser, ... Read More

ZARA MATERNITY WEAR

15 Oct

Zara blouse
So I was just browsing Zara on-line for the girls (and for me) and noticed a new maternity section. About time Zara. Great news. It should be good.

Although very limited their maternity pieces don't disappoint. Out of the 11 items on offer (four are 'mum' jeans) I would happily pick any one to wear myself. The minimal and roomy feel is perfect, looking comfortable whilst retaining style. I would perhaps sum it up as a capsule collection for pregnancy. Day to night dress. check. Jeans. check. Blouse. check. My favourite piece is probably the faux leather dress, which I w ... Read More

TIMELESS BEAUTY WITH LOQUET LONDON

12 Oct

Loquet
One piece of jewellery that I have wanted for quite some time now is a necklace. I like the idea of something personal, and up until now a Monica Vinader engraved pendant was top of my list. Ever since having my daughters I have wanted some jewellery to represent their birth, our life and love. I have wanted a personalised necklace that I can wear everyday and never take off. Then I came across Loquet.

Loquet is still a relatively new name in the world of luxury jewellery. A British concept created by Sheherazade Goldsmith with Laura Bailey that launched in June ... Read More

THE WINTER CAPE MAKES A COMBACK

7 Oct

Joseph
Pretty much every winter the cape makes a comeback. I have several styles in my wardrobe that I can't wait to bring out from hibernation as soon as the weather takes a turn. I have in-fact got a gorgeous tartan cape that I got when I was still at university. This just goes to show the capes longevity.

As with most things sartorially, even if you do have something similar on rotation, there's always the need for an update. Especially when you know it will be well worth the investment. I would like to add here too, that the cape is the perfect cosy, yet cool, cover-up in pregnancy ... Read More

A MOSES BASKET TO RIVAL ANY OTHER

30 Sep

Plum and sparrow 2
So I came across the most divine babies moses basket today on Instagram. So beautiful, gorgeous, unique, I just had to share. I mean have you ever seen one so beautiful? Forget the new Mamas and Papas Liberty range. If you expecting and looking for the perfect, safe place for your newborn bundle to snuggle and sleep, this is it.

Plum + Sparrow is a mother of four, inspired by the world around her, and driven by life's experiences, to create something totally unique, natural and wonderful for her baby. I think she's done a pretty good job, judging by the fact that currently every ... Read More

FORGET TRUNKI. IT’S ALL ABOUT SAMSONITE’S NEW CHILDREN’S COLLECTION

22 Sep

iconic wheely
Much to the probable annoyance of those dragons, Trunki has become a household name. We own one, and the same goes for pretty much everyone I know that has small children and travels. However, personally, they are actually more of a hindrance than a help. That cute airport ride-on, that's designed to make travelling with children easier and fun, is far from it. Perhaps if you could pull them around corners and they didn't fall over at the first hurdle I wouldn't be so anti. But for now the Trunki is definitely more fun for children than it is for parents. Subsequently our Trunki has been 'brok ... Read More

BURGUNDY PIECES

17 Sep

Burgundy
According to the fashion guides Burgundy is the colour of the season. And that's fine by me. I've never been a huge fan of red. It's a difficult hue to master stylishly especially if you are blonde. And even then i'm not a fan on me. I honestly don't think I have one piece in my wardrobe that's red. However, burgundy I am all over. Classic, stylish, yet remaining sultry.  A cashmere sweater, bag or burgundy skirt has gone straight to the top of my list of new season updates. Preferably in cord or velvet.

What I love even more is that this trend has filtered down into c ... Read More

WIDE FITTING. HELP!

15 Sep

Bubble
I never thought I would have such a problem finding girls shoes. The market is a-wash with some adorable brands and stores - my favourites include Papouelli, Max and May and a latest discovery, online boutique, I adore little feet. We are also lucky as we visit Italy a lot. Need I say more? One thing is for sure my eldest daughter was, and still is, spoilt for choice when it comes to footwear.

Upon the news of hearing number two was also a girl, I was thrilled to discover my shoe addiction could be passed on. Number two would have a ready-made shoe collection. It made me feel co ... Read More
