My skincare favourites

11 Sep

Murad
When it comes to skincare I definitely have my favourites. When I find a product that works I don't see a reason to try something different. (It is always hard not to get seduced by the latest new thing however!) So I though i'd share with you what i'm using at the moment and what products I would really recommend.

My main rule when it comes beauty is always consider your skin type  What works on someone with dry skin won't necessarily have the same effect if you have combination, or oily skin, for example. I find moisturisers and oils specifically to either work for me, or rea ... Read More

Autumn new in

Other stories

I don't know about you but I'm really excited about Autumn fashion now. As much as I love summer, floaty dresses and slides, i'm now getting a bit bored of them. I can't wait to get all cosy and there's no better season for it.

Thankfully, seeing as this year I will be pregnant throughout autumn winter, (yep baby number three is due 2020!) there is still a huge emphasis on chunky knits and maxi's, which also happen to be perfect for dressing over a bump. I also have a lot of these st ... Read More

MY SKINCARE SECRETS

8 Jan

FullSizeRender (16)
,There are many different lotions and potions in my bathroom cabinet but, like most of you i'm guessing, there are only a select few that I really couldn't live without. Some are cult favourites, others are just my own personal recommendation. Skincare + beauty. Here's my routine.

First up cleanse, tone and moisturise. I have always been a Clarins girl, but recently I switched skincare to Jurlique. My love affair with Jurlique began on a trip to Australia about five years ago, where I was introduced to rose water mist. I have been using it ever since, a bottle e ... Read More

BEST FOR BABY’S BATH

17 Apr

Bathtime snuggles
When it comes to little ones and their skin, especially delicate newborn skin, it's important to respect that vulnerability. Your baby trusts in you to give them only the very best. They do advise not to give your newborn a bath for the first week or two, instead sticking to a quick top and tail with plain warm water. But when you do give them that first special experience, what's best when it comes to product?

Personally I will always try to stick to natural and organic baby products wherever possible. If I ever do have to use a perfumed wipe or chemically infused product I imm ... Read More

SHOE UPDATE

31 Mar

Eytys look
Being a mum of two small children, my shoe wardrobe has become pretty much over-run with flats. No matter how much I love a heel, the flat always seems to win. I just can't be bothered tottering around in heels with little ones in tow. Time is of the essence as it is.

Luckily there are a wealth of beautiful flat options out there, and actually the flat is just as much high fashion as any stiletto. My pair of Valentino rock studs is case in point.  The current go-to for everyday however is a more basic shoe, a little less high-fashion but just as charming in its own way. Specifi ... Read More

IN-FLIGHT ESSENTIALS

12 Nov

photo-21
Travelling with little ones requires a fair amount of organisation. On-top of outfit planning and packing for three, it's also important to be prepared for the journey. We have done a fair amount of long haul flying as a family so I like to think I am pretty good at what I do need, and what I actually really don't.

So what are my in-flight essentials? I have learnt few and far between. But without these few, things would not be quite so comfortable. Catch you later, that sea is calling me...

HOSPITAL BAG BEAUTY

21 Feb

IMG_20140220_093418
Yesterday I began to pack my hospital bag, starting with some beauty essentials. Perhaps not the most important contents of said bag, but still pretty crucial to make my trip (and possible overnight stay) a little more luxurious. Let's face it hospitals are far from it, so I need all the help I can get.

I have always been one of those girls that follows a strict skincare regime - cleanse, tone and moisturise - no matter what. The same will be the case at that time in the next few weeks. As soon as I get the opportunity I will be in that shower, hair washed, cl ... Read More

HEAVENLY SCENTS

21 Jan

Le-Labo-bergamont
Le Labo, my new favourite perfume.

Made-to-order heavenly scents created by New York perfume laboratory Le Labo are simply delicious. Choose your smell, wait whilst it is lovingly formulated by hand and then presented to you in a simplistic signature bottle, dated and named. Each of their ten scents are totally unique but equally as divine. It's pretty hard to choose a favourite, but I think it may have to be either Santal or Patchouli. Bergamote is gorgeous too!

Le Labo is not your average mass produced perfume, so you can't get your hands on a bottle just like t ... Read More

NEUTRAL NAILS

4 Sep

Butter London, Cuppa £12
This seasons hottest nail colour doesn't scream look at me, but pale and neutral nails can still make a statement.

Here is my pick of favourite colours for chic-mums and their mini-me's. (If you are pregnant or looking for your little one I recommend both Butter London and Little BU. Both brands are non-toxic and 100% safe to use.)

BLOOM AND BLOSSOM

19 Aug

Bloom-and-Blossom
The latest must-have maternity skincare range is from Bloom and Blossom. As well as offering the ultimate in mummy and baby pampering, Bloom and Blossom is the confirmed product of choice for the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate is now using the range as part of her post baby, body-beautiful routine. Worth a go then, no?

Personally I love the sound of the rejuvenating facial spritz . Great for your hospital bag or simply when you need a little pick-me-up. The mother to be gift set would also make a great baby shower gift.
