HAPPY NEW YEAR

6 Jan

So it's here, 2016! Happy New Year! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and celebrated the NY in style. Even if it was just with a delicious supper and some champagne at home with friends and family. As parents this is more often than not the case when it comes to NYE, no?

Now that 2016 is in full swing it's time to start thinking about what is planned for the year ahead, and what resolutions, if any, to make. It's usually a good idea to choose things that are attainable. I have learnt this from experience. My main resolution is to be more organised. in fact this ... Read More

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONSOON!

2 Nov

Last weekend A and I were invited to an exclusive party, to celebrate 20 years of Monsoon Kids. Held at the Tower of London, upon arrival we were transported into a magical woodland world. There were many highlights from the day and the face painting was out of this world. I could never imagine a more beautiful unicorn! Just for fun A and I decided to wear matching Monsoon looks. Not something I would usually do, but it seemed more than appropriate on this occasion, and actually rather a cute idea.

Celebrations aside, we got to view some of their new season pieces. I fell in lov ... Read More

HEAVEN ON EARTH

So I have just returned from that dream trip, Mauritius Four Seasons, it really was heaven on earth. That 12 hour flight with two little ones was well and truly worth it then!

I am not going to lie though, that flight was not easy. The littlest one is not the best sleeper whilst out and about. Maybe it's that second child syndrome, fear of missing out, but unless she is warm, cosy, quiet and dark, sleep is not an option. A however now finds travel a doddle, three is the bench-mark I think.

Now it's back to reality. Six loads of washing down, at least three more to ... Read More

HOME SWEET HOME

Or in this case not so much...Would rather be back in Italy right now. Although thank you Mr. Sunshine for a very warm welcome home.

Sorry for my lack of posts over the last ten days. I had every intention to keep things going whilst away, but as is always the case I was too busy having fun. (You can always keep up with me on Instagram though.) Italy for us is like a home from home. A was there at just nine weeks old and this year was Evelyn's début at twelve weeks. Just like her sister she was a star. If you can, I think it's always best to get babies used to travelling from a ... Read More

EASTER HOLIDAYS

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break. If you are following me on Instagram you will know that we spent a wonderful few days at 'home' in Suffolk. Much fun was had and copious amounts of food (chocolate) consumed. A was in heaven riding sit on mowers, Easter egg hunting and playing mother hen to her baby sister and cousin.

Seeing as I am still pretty tied up with baby (who seems to have developed colic) and A is still on half term, I thought I might catch up with you all again via a few snaps of our adventures. As I have said before, pictures speak a thousand words.

KEEPING BUSY

My official due date is now just two days away. The wait is on. It could however be another two weeks (!) so I am trying to keep busy in the hope that time does not drag...

Yesterday I heading into London for some beauty treatments with London Mother's Club at the Cowshed Spa in Selfridges. It was so nice to be treated to a little bit of pampering. My pedicure  included an extremely relaxing neck, shoulder and head massage, as well as a foot and leg massage. Cowshed offer a whole range of treatments as well as specifically tailored mum-to-be packages, so well worth a v ... Read More

NYE
Happy 2014! Lat night was the first time ever (as an adult) we have spent New Years eve at home, doing nothing, and it was actually really nice. We sat up watching Graham Norton then snuggled in bed for Big Ben and the fireworks. Weren't they spectacular?! And how lovely, we were asleep by 12.15 and did not wake up until 9.30 the next morning. That's a pretty good start to 2014. Little A was a star and let us have a much needed lie-in. She obviously needed one too.

I hope you all had a fabulous evening, whatever you were up to, and may this new year bring you love, laug ... Read More

MY WEEK – (26TH NOVEMBER)

3 Dec

week-3-2
Last week was one full of social soirees and Christmas prep, in between exciting meetings and frantically trying to keep to my many deadlines.

Wednesday saw my second edit for Blossom Mother and Child go live. This month features my mama and baby Gift guide. It was really hard choosing my favorite pieces, but hopefully you will agree, my selection includessome really lovely gift ideas. As well as my Blossom deadline, I was also asked to do a first piece for John Lewis. I am conscious that I only feature products and brands that I believe in on Mumzynot, but when such a high-prof ... Read More

MY WEEK

26 Nov

week-2
This past week has been super-hectic, but not actually that exciting. I have mostly been working and in every spare moment frantically trying to tidy and clean the house (in between looking after a recently super-charged toddler, is this a faze?!).We are on the final push to get everything finished in time for Christmas. Carpets fitters are coming on the 20th of December so all painting, electrics, fixtures and fittings need to be finished. The fine film of dust that seems to be covering every surface must also be eradicated. This is my on-going battle!

Work and renovations asid ... Read More
