Hospital bag 2

If you have been following my pregnancy journey via instagram you will know that I am now just a matter of weeks away from welcoming my third baby and I have finally got around to packing my hospital bag. They say you should have your bag packed by 36 weeks, but if you know me you will know I'm generally quite laid back about these things. I haven't really thought about it much until now (I'm 37 weeks) but in my head I want to have it all sorted by 38 weeks. Most babies don't come early so there's still plenty of time.

So, this brings m ... Read More

Whilst planning my daughter's fourth birthday party last month I stumbled across the sweetest personalised cake topper's via Instagram. Clara Ivy ( hand-makes any word, number or phrase in a choice of finishes to suit your theme. I feel in love, instantly.

The theme for our party was (of course) Frozen but I didn't want the more obvious style frozen cake - I wan't something a little more sophisticated and also a little different. I followed the ombre style of this sweet pink cake, swapping to frozen colours and a matching rainbow filling.  The glitter sil ... Read More

You may have been wondering seeing as I have been a little quite these last few days? Well I am so happy to finally announce that our (second) beautiful baby girl arrived on Sunday afternoon, just one day past my due date. Introducing Evelyn Rose. She is just amazing and we are in love all over again.

Father's day is fast approaching and I still haven't really thought about what I am going to get for my husband! A is still a little young to choose for herself so it is down to me. She will of course be making her own card. There is nothing cuter or more precious. In all honestly this is all that is really required on Father's Day...... But as is the same for me on Mothers Day, it's always nice to get a little present too!

There are loads of gift ideas for Father's Day, I am sure you are already inundated with emails and adverts trying to tempt you to a specific item - be it a ... Read More

Ewan the dream sheep

11 Aug

I saw 'Ewan the dream sheep' just as i was on my way out of the babyshow@Excel center. I didn't have time to stop, but the product really grabbed my eye, so i picked up a leaflet to see what it was all about.

Basically 'Ewan' is a babies soothing and sleeping aid that lightly glows at night (this pink glow is designed to mimic the light experienced in the womb). He is soft and cuddley so baby will love snuggling up to him. 'Ewan' also has a velcro tail so can be safely and securely attached to the bars of your cot, probably a better idea when little one is new born to avoid ... My Breastfeeding essentials

25 Jul

So my little one is now just over three weeks old and i feel pretty much in the swing of things now. I have adjusted to the lack of sleep, maximum so far is 4.5hrs in one go, am a master at changing, dressing, playing, multi-tasking and most importantly feeding. In my case breastfeeding.

Of course if you can do it, breastfeeding is best for your baby, and for you actually. My baby bump has pretty much disappeared after just three weeks, breastfeeding makes your uterus contract back super quick! Now all i need is a bit of toning up and by the time i go on my holiday next month i ... Read More
