I am a huge fan of the Australian brand Zimmermann. I discovered them first hand whilst on holiday in Sydney and after visiting their Westfield store I was hooked. Several hours shopping later, with the help of a gorgeous sales assistant from Bournemouth (of all places) I left a very happy bunny, with two new bikinis and a stunning cut-out-floral dress. (Dress as pictured below. My outfit for my brother's beautiful wedding two days later. That's the Sydney skyline in the background - Pretty amazing venue setting huh!?)

Specialising in swimwear, this is a brand ev ... Read More

Last night was the annual Met Ball Gala in New York and this years dress code was a little more edgy than previous years - This year, guests were asked to go Punk! With this in mind I was excited to see how my favorite celebrity mums were going to style their red carpet looks, whilst retaining the glitz and glamour of previous years.

In true Punk fashion - studs, spikes and dramatic make-up were the theme of the night. Leather, lace and brocade were also in abundance. As with most celebrity style events there were some fashion hits, as well as some impressive fashion faux-pas ... Read More

This season is all about the jewels, the bigger the better. Jewelry is a great way to update your look and add some glamour to a simple outfit.

If your budget doesn't stretch to a showstopper from the likes of Gucci or Versace (lets face it, not many peoples does) the high street have some great alternatives. As does the Outnet, I buy nearly all my designer pieces here.

Happy Friday,

Love Jess x

I have just discovered a delightful Australian brand specialising in baby-swaddling and sleeping bags, Bubbaroo.

Here's a bit about Bubbaroo : Bubbaroo was founded in 2007 by a new mum experiencing a traumatic first few months with a newborn suffering from severe Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease. She quickly learnt that swaddling was the best option for her baby, to help settle and comfort. However, the traditional swaddle blankets were easily kicked off by a squirming wriggly little one. After failing to find a suitable alternative, Bubbaroo and the Joey Pou ... Read More

I love a designer collaboration with a high-street brand. So as you can imagine I was really excited to hear that iconic New York designer, Diane Von Furstenberg, has teamed up with Gap to launch her second collection for mini-me's - Introducing 'The little Explorer'.

Available in baby sizes right up to girls age 14 years, the DVF Gap collection is based upon her signature prints and wrap-style dresses. (Yes I know, it's super cute, you can now get a mini wrap dress for your daughter to match your own adult sized one!) Think sundresses, shorts, printed tee's, den ... Read More

As you may have noticed Mumzynot has been inaccessible for the last few days, thanks to an evil scammer! Ancient Holding, AKA Wendy Webbe, you know who you are....May karma get you back one day.

After much sweat and tears I have finally sorted out the problem and Mumzynot is back up and running. Phew.

Unfortunately however, I have had to change my domain name (website address) and email address. The blog is now located at (basically the same as before, just minus the hyphen) and my new email address is (again, minus the hyph ... Read More

I love being introduced to new children's boutiques. It's always nice to discover alternatives to my regular - Baby Gap, Zara Kids, Alex and Alexa (just some of my favorites when I am looking to update A's wardrobe). Wherever possible it is always nice to support independents, especially when they offer such a wide range of brands and designers as Cheeky Monkeys Kids!

I don't know about you but when I am shopping online for A, I like to be able to purchase a number of different items all from one place. It avoids more than one delivery fee and also gives me more of a real-life ... Read More

Every girl needs a bit of denim in their closet. This season why not add some pop-colour, floral or print to your collection?

A Dungarees is a must-have and if you dare - double denim can look ultra-chic. (Just make sure you mix pale denim with dark, to avoid a fashion faux-pas!). Here are my picks, both maternity and ready-to-wear.

Happy Shopping,

Topshop Maternity. £38

Bugaboo AW
You may well have heard about the latest Bugaboo designer collaboration? If not then you read it here first......From May 2013 Bugaboo and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, start their multi-year creative collaboration with the spring launch of Warhol-inspired pushchair accessories! Aren't these just so cool!?

The first prints to be launched (as pictured) are the Flowers collection and the Cars collection. Both ultra-chic and both I love. For me, this is perhaps the trendiest of the Bugaboo collaborations yet? Aswell as featuring art ... Read More

nurturing mums
Having a baby, as we all know, can be somewhat isolating and lonely, especially if you don't have a good support network of friends and family. With this in mind I would like to introduce you to Nurturing mums.

Nurturing mums was founded by two North London mums that wanted to offer post natal care and a much needed support system for like-minded new mummies. Elise Mendelle and Gemma Frenchman both found themselves longing for practical on-tap advice when their babies were born, but didn't know where to turn.  Having experienced conflicting opinions, short paternity leave, a f ...
