White shirt style
There is something about the perfect white shirt. Men, woman (maternity) and even little ones.  It's just a timeless piece however you choose to wear it. For such an effortless piece then, why is it so hard to find the perfect one?

For me that perfect one needs to be structured yet retain the softness you only get from the best quality cotton. It can't be too sheer, or crease at the slightest fold. It also needs to be some kind of boyfriend fit. The same rules apply when shopping for my husband or the girls. (An added criteria for the girls is a ruffle or peter-pan collar.) Wit ... Read More

As you know I tend to be a fan of the European brands when it comes to dressing A,E, or even myself for the matter. (Ganni ring any bells?) So when I discovered French label Mayoral I was happy to have found yet another. A stylish new collection for mini-me's offering great quality pieces that are also reasonably priced.

I recently visited Mayoral's store in Clapham (there is also one at Bluewater) and managed to snap a few pictures of A in some of my favourite looks for this season. I just adore the floral loose fit pants and yellow cotton sweater, the stripe bloomer shorts are ... Read More

Marie Chantal angel wings cashmere gift set £195
This time last pregnancy, at just over 20 weeks, I had already purchased a number of newborn outfits for expectant bundle. I knew we were having a little girl and could not wait to get shopping! Inevitable many of those purchases remained unworn. So, second time around, things are very different. To date I have not purchased one single thing?!

I am being very sensible (some may say boring) and taking my time in putting together my new, newborn, wardrobe. From experience I now know that there is no need to go overboard with outfits - skirts and dresses for example are a waste of ... Read More

Since I had A (over two years ago now) it had always been really tricky to find designer-led baby clothes at highstreet prices. If you love fashion and want to create a cute and stylish wardrobe for your little one you have to be prepared to spend.  I am talking Caramel Baby and Child, Bonpoint, Marie-Chantal, where just one item can cost up to £100. Don't get me wrong, I adore these brands, but unfortunately I just cannot not justify it. (More than one or two times.) Babies grow so quickly.

Thankfully, today things are a little different. Just like the highstreet is able to r ... Read More

I love being introduced to new children's boutiques. It's always nice to discover alternatives to my regular - Baby Gap, Zara Kids, Alex and Alexa (just some of my favorites when I am looking to update A's wardrobe). Wherever possible it is always nice to support independents, especially when they offer such a wide range of brands and designers as Cheeky Monkeys Kids!

I don't know about you but when I am shopping online for A, I like to be able to purchase a number of different items all from one place. It avoids more than one delivery fee and also gives me more of a real-life ... Read More
