mOmma ROCKS!

Apologies in advance for the review-style feature here, but I feel this exciting new brand is worth a mention. I was recently sent one of their baby bottles to try out and think it's really quite cool so wanted to share.

mOmma is a funky new range of toddler feeding products brought to us by well know maternity brand Lansinoh. As they should, each product is designed to aid development, entertain and stimulate toddlers during mealtimes, using only the highest quality materials in the safest and most hygienic way. And, well generally, just encouraging all those good eating habits ... Read More

LACY UNDERNEATH

Topshop maternity set
Although I am no longer pregnant, I still like to keep a-breast of the new maternity collections to hit stores and on line. A-breast being the key phrase as I have just noticed that Topshop maternity have my perfect undies sets.

It seems that  I am not the only one to have noticed - all you pregnant ladies out there need to be quick as sizes seem to be flying. No wonder as at just £18 for a bra or £24 for the set it would be hard to resist. Pregnancy underwear is one part of maternity that simply cannot be over-looked, but at least you can still keep it pretty and lacy under ... Read More

DATE NIGHT

16 Feb

IO rosalin
For want of a better word, the perfect look for that dinner-date with the man. Forget the LBD, hello, the jumpsuit.

Elegant and stylish with minimal effort, a black all-in-one should be every girls go-to. Team with point-toe pumps (Jimmy Choos's Anouk in patent leather work best), statement jewels and a Valentino rockstud bag for extra-added signature flair. Right now I am coveting a more laid back design from Michael Korrs. Said suit would be just as fabulous for a paired down look by day. Just add those favourite white sneakers, Sophie Hulme cross-body and Larsson and Jennings ... Read More

LINGERIE

One of my January traditions is to sort and re-vamp my underwear drawer. This is required even more so after having a baby and finishing breastfeeding - It's a little celebratory treat. (Paired with a little sadness that that special time is over.)

I am fortunate (or un-lucky depending how you look at it) that I have never had a problem buying nice underwear thanks to a moderate bust size. When pregnant and breastfeeding, although a-lot bigger, that size was still manageable and I could easily find comfortable and good-looking maternity and nursing pieces. My go-to's - ... Read More

NURSING KNITS

So I am no longer breastfeeding but when friends Babes With Babies asked to feature something gorgeous from their collection, I knew this was no matter. As a maternity and breastfeeding go-to of mine, when it comes to their clothing practicality is just a formality.

So, as it should, the Babes With Babies collection has several lovely pieces that appear in no-way baby/pregnancy/breastfeeding/new mum related, and after a quick search I picked something I have actually be looking for, for quite a while. - A chunky poncho-style cable-knit in that lovely shade of charcoal grey. SHIRT DRESSING

20 Aug

photo-111
It's that in between stage. Not warm enough for full-on summer dressing but still OK for bare legs to show off a bit of that holiday tan. My go-to? A shirt dress. Button front, perfect for breast feeding, just haven't had a chance to wear any other kind of dress this season, long sleeved, and great with a chunky knit if it decides to rain. Can't really make up it's mind these days can it...?

The shirt dress is also perfect as a maternity look. Loose-fitting to accommodate that bump and button (or wrap) front for when required post-baby. Isabella Oliver maternity have an ... Read More

SUNSHINE

We were sure to make the most of this past weekends glorious sunshine. (Clearly a wise move as, surprise surprise, it didn't last.) BBQ's, family and friends were the perfect combination to those hot sunny days.

For laid back summer dressing 'mini-style' you can't beat a cute little romper. Baby Gap editions are my go-to right now for both the girls. Cute, comfy and casual A's lightweight denim version is a favourite, and I love anything in white for baby E.  So does she clearly, judging by that smile.

When it comes to my summer uniform right now, a basi ... Read More

SS14. ON MY WISHLIST

IO-jacket
What's on my wishlist this Spring Summer?

Although I am not a girly girl, this season I am finding myself drawn to some of those pastel pieces. A little bit of candy pink teamed with white or grey is not too girly, right? I am also in love with the sporty-shoe-sandal-thing. Not everyone's cup of tea, but there is something a little bit cool about a Slide. Step up Isabel Marant. Zara also have a couple of quirky styles, for those of you that are still un-decided and want something a little more throw-away.

An over-sized coat in cream is a must (Hello Ga ... Read More

HOSPITAL BAG BEAUTY

21 Feb

IMG_20140220_093418
Yesterday I began to pack my hospital bag, starting with some beauty essentials. Perhaps not the most important contents of said bag, but still pretty crucial to make my trip (and possible overnight stay) a little more luxurious. Let's face it hospitals are far from it, so I need all the help I can get.

I have always been one of those girls that follows a strict skincare regime - cleanse, tone and moisturise - no matter what. The same will be the case at that time in the next few weeks. As soon as I get the opportunity I will be in that shower, hair washed, cl ... Read More

SHIRTS

other-stories
As B-day is fast approaching I am starting to think about nursing, and more importantly nursing attire. You think it's hard to remain stylish whilst pregnant, that's nothing compared to the same challenge if you are planning to breastfeed. Enter the shirt. Buttons and breastfeeding are the perfect combination.

I have to tell you there are basically no chic breastfeeding clothes out there. The likes of Babes with Babies and Isabella Oliver have some options, basic vests with those pull down-clips, poncho's and knits. I lived in my foxy feeders for example. Other than tha ... Read More
