Gift ideas
I have been thinking a lot about what I might like for Christmas. My husband asked me the other day and I must admit I wasn't really too sure. As a 'mum' there isn't really anything too specific that I fancy. Previously, and as Mumzynot started out as a proper mummy blog, I would have endless gift ideas all baby related. Now, the girls are getting bigger and all those mum-type gifts are no longer part of the equation. However, being a girl, not just a mum, there are a few things I wouldn't mind discovering under the tree come Christmas morning.

First on ... Read More

Even before I was pregnant I have always been a little obsessed with baby changing bags. I working on the design and development of a luxury said accessories brand, way before the market even thought about taking off. Now, five years later and two babies down, the world of baby bags has become a lot more mainstream. Just like the regular accessories market there is pretty much a style, colour, shape and price-point, to suit any new mum (or dad) to be. However the majority of these brands are still very much baby inspired. A little too colourful, a little too Mumzy. So still, I get excited when ... Read More

Brought to my attention just a few weeks ago, Cucuka leather changing bags: Coming very soon, and most coveted. I might even go as far as to say perhaps the chic new 'it' bag for stylish mums.

You know the spiel, so I won't go into that practicality side of things again (!). Quickly and foremost, think buttery soft leather, gorgeous looks and a designer quality. Cucuka is my kind of arm candy then, and it just so happens to have that required function. Don't mind if I do. My name will most definitely be going on that list. How about you?

So you know I am an accessories kind of girl? Well, with bags as the focus, or more precisely changing bags (which is where my mind is still at) it's always exciting to discover something new.

Love them or loathe them, having a baby requires this different kind of handbag. You need a carry-all, something big enough for all the baby essentials, that also comes with a shoulder strap. Hello baby-bag. More specifically the printed tote kind, a little sporty with masculine shape, and oh-so-practical. You know I am not usually a fan of anything that screams baby when it comes ... 'Who say's you can't re-invent a classic?' Indeed.

It's my big 3-0 c0ming up next month so for something to do, and because my husband recently asked for gift ideas, I have been having a little dream about what I might just love to receive - The re-worked Saint Lauren Cassandre has totally caught my eye. Isn't she dreamy? And what's even better, I haven't spotted her on any a WAG or celeb wanna-be.

OK, so Cassandre is not going to be very practical as a new mum with toddler and newborn in tow. But it's my birthday, and anyway, baby (and no-doubt A) will b ... Read More

One of my favorite things to shop for at the moment is a new changing bag. I am a bag obsessive with an extensive collection. From Mulberry to Chanel, I have a tote, clutch or messenger for every occasion. (Your bag (and shoes) make an outfit don't you know!?) So it's no surprise that my range of arm candy also includes a vast selection of designer baby-bags. Why would I want to ruin Alexa or Willow with spilt milk and crumbling breadsticks when I can carry something equally as chic that comes with removable and washable lining?

I am lucky enough to have been gifted a number of ... Read More

The back-pack is one of this seasons hottest accessories, which is great news for us mums and mums-to-be. We can now be hands free in style. Sporty and chic, with enough room to fit all your baby essentials and mummy must-haves, this leather carry-all from Elizabeth and James is the perfect alternative to your everyday changing-bag. A pair of large shoulder straps will easily hang  from a stroller too.

Be sure to look out for high-street steals, if your budget won't allow for something more designer. Who would know anyway?
