PHOEBE COLEMAN

14 Feb

Phoebe coleman bird
I always used to be a chunky-jewels kinda girl but for some reason or another my style has changed and I find myself more and more drawn to those delicate, simplistic pieces. Alex Monroe and Monica Vinader are my go-to designers of choice, but more recently I have fallen in love with newcomer Phoebe Coleman. The Notting Hill based designer offers something slightly unique and totally chic. I would happily make room in my jewelry box for a number of her pieces.  Those pretty little rings especially are totally wearable.

It's a bit late for Valentine's Day but my 30th i ... Read More

UNIQUE SS14 HAS LANDED

11 Feb

Topshop-uniquw-3
Yipee (!) The Topshop unique SS14 collection has finally landed and once again it does not disappoint. Unique's slouchy, over-sized designs that we all know and love are in abundance - re-worked into barely-there sundresses, chic prints and that beautiful blue. The tweed fringed shorts and jacket, with a subtle nod to Chanel, is just divine . I basically want it all.

This is a collection that is not only stylish but totally baby-bump friendly. Great for hiding a multitude of sins post birth. (minus those crop-tops.) Investment pieces at your fingertips, that will not on ... Read More

Look three for my Madderson London style diary, featuring the Camilla shift dress. A chic everyday style statement that is just as stunning after dark.

I have been wearing this look a lot over the festive period, it's just so comfortable and effortless. At 30 weeks effortless when getting dressed is mandatory. Made from luxurious double-knit Italian jersey, with exquisite gold trim detailing, the Camilla Shift is more than just your regular maternity LBD. It's also surprisingly warm so perfect for these cold days we have been having. As with all ML pieces this is a styl ... Read More

THE SHOW-STOPPER

18 Dec

IMG_20131217_114354
Last weekend I attended a black tie event at Chelsea's Hurlingham Club. Dressing for such occasions can be pretty stressful with a seven month baby bump, lets face it you don't feel your best. I certainly don't anyway, and in all honesty the last thing I wanted to do was go to a black tie dinner. What was I going to wear? Thankfully my partnership with Madderson London came into play, and brings me to the second look for my style diary. They have just the dress for red carpet glamour.

The Juno dress, the Madderson 'show stopper'. A silk printed style-statement, with exquisite pe ... Read More

12 Dec

The maternity dungarees is a style classic. I just love it and ever since announcing my second pregnancy I have been dying to wear one. I was thinking denim dungas from Topshop maternity, but then Envie de Fraise sent me an email asking if I wanted to sample some of their collection - a dungarees was among the selection. Yes please.

Envie de Fraise is a chic Parisian maternity label, recently launched online in the UK and well worth a visit if you are in the market for some new maternity bits. At first glace I see elements of Hatch Collection - leather detail knits and hareem pa ... Read More

The outnet.com (my favorite online designer shopping destination) has just launched a flash sale, with up to 80% off! Perfect timing for Christmas presents and new-additions for oneself. Every year I do like to by myself a little treat too. I bet you do the same?!

Highlights have to be Elle Macpherson intimate from just £7 and Lucy Choi pumps at just £37! I know there is not too much for those of us with a baby-bump, but I can still get excited about all the accessories. And anyway, I won't be pregnant forever.

Try not to get too carried away.

THE SATURDAY DRESS

10 Dec

20131208_143818-21
The first look from my much-anticipated Madderson London style-diary: The Saturday Dress - every maternity wardrobe should have one. It's not only for Saturday btw. Wear-with-all, it pretty much goes with everything, any day, remaining a style-staple way beyond pregnancy.

Made from perfectly soft, luxurious modal with discreet side ruching and just the right amount of stretch allowing for that inevitable belly. (mine is now most definitely a proper bump!) A clever side slit also means this otherwise fitted style does not restrict movement. You just feel comfortable and loose ... Read More

MY WEEK – (26TH NOVEMBER)

3 Dec

week-3-2
Last week was one full of social soirees and Christmas prep, in between exciting meetings and frantically trying to keep to my many deadlines.

Wednesday saw my second edit for Blossom Mother and Child go live. This month features my mama and baby Gift guide. It was really hard choosing my favorite pieces, but hopefully you will agree, my selection includessome really lovely gift ideas. As well as my Blossom deadline, I was also asked to do a first piece for John Lewis. I am conscious that I only feature products and brands that I believe in on Mumzynot, but when such a high-prof ... Read More

MY WEEK

26 Nov

week-2
This past week has been super-hectic, but not actually that exciting. I have mostly been working and in every spare moment frantically trying to tidy and clean the house (in between looking after a recently super-charged toddler, is this a faze?!).We are on the final push to get everything finished in time for Christmas. Carpets fitters are coming on the 20th of December so all painting, electrics, fixtures and fittings need to be finished. The fine film of dust that seems to be covering every surface must also be eradicated. This is my on-going battle!

Work and renovations asid ... Read More

KRISTIN CAVALLARI

21 Nov

Kirstin-kavallari
Hills star, Kristin Cavallari recently announced she is expecting baby number 2 with NFL husband Jay Cutler. The 26 year old has been snapped on a number of occasions showcasing the first signs of a baby bump and this outfit has to be one of my favorites. Chic and sophisticated with a sexy feminine edge, accessorized with a killer heel (Louboutins) and Chanel. Of course.

This is actually a really achievable and versatile look. Swap the heels for a leopard loafer and you are ready for the school run.

A great pair of leather-look pants and a chunky knit are both war ... Read More
