JEWELS. THE BIGGER THE BETTER

3 May

Jewelery
This season is all about the jewels, the bigger the better. Jewelry is a great way to update your look and add some glamour to a simple outfit.

If your budget doesn't stretch to a showstopper from the likes of Gucci or Versace (lets face it, not many peoples does) the high street have some great alternatives. As does the Outnet, I buy nearly all my designer pieces here.

Happy Friday,

Love Jess x

KIM KARDASHIAN

1 May

Kim-K
Up until now I have not been a fan of Kim Kardashian's maternity style. She tends to dress in the least-flattering way for a curvy girl with a bump. (Probably because it is allegedly her baby daddy, Kanye West, doing her styling. Lets face it most men don't have a clue. They like women to dress in the tightest, most fitter styles, but this doesn't always work if you have an extra large bump, and super curvy bum.) However, pictured recently in Paris, Kim cut a much chicer mum-to-be figure.

She successfully teamed a striking red maxi with black cardi and matching ... Read More

BACK UP AND RUNNING!

30 Apr

DSC_0954
As you may have noticed Mumzynot has been inaccessible for the last few days, thanks to an evil scammer! Ancient Holding, AKA Wendy Webbe, you know who you are....May karma get you back one day.

After much sweat and tears I have finally sorted out the problem and Mumzynot is back up and running. Phew.

Unfortunately however, I have had to change my domain name (website address) and email address. The blog is now located at www.Mumzynot.com (basically the same as before, just minus the hyphen) and my new email address is jessica@mumzynot.com (again, minus the hyph ... Read More

THE DENIM EDIT

22 Apr

7-for-all-mankind
Every girl needs a bit of denim in their closet. This season why not add some pop-colour, floral or print to your collection?

A Dungarees is a must-have and if you dare - double denim can look ultra-chic. (Just make sure you mix pale denim with dark, to avoid a fashion faux-pas!). Here are my picks, both maternity and ready-to-wear.

Happy Shopping,

Love,

Jess

DUNGAREES

12 Apr

Dungarees
A Dungarees has got to be the ultimate mummy-style?! I would have loved to wear this look when I was pregnant, I just couldn't find a suitable maternity pair to fit my growing bump.

Now, thanks to Topshop maternity, you can go all out retro-chic mum-to-be.

Team your dungarees with a basic T-shirt and converse for every-day wear. When the weather hots up create a turn-up and switch to your favorite thongs.

If you are feeling adventurous, why not  add a  heel and leather jacket to wear after-dark? ... Read More

ALLESANDRA AMBROSIO

12 Apr

aLLESSANDRA AMBROSIO WHITE
Chic-mum of two Alessandra Ambrosio was celebrating her 32nd birthday on Wednesday night. The Brazilian beauty was pictured with her fiance looking angelic in a white bodycon mini dress that showed of her model figure to perfection. It's hard to believe she gave birth to her second child just two moths ago!

Steal her style with this textured bodycon dress from Topshop. Team with a nude heel and sparkly clutch for effortless elegance.

ARM CANDY

11 Apr

Ice-watch-Orange
Playing with accessories is a great way to update your look. (There are no restrictions with a bump either!) This season is all about statement jewels and vibrant colour, so why not invest in some new arm candy!? One great place to start is with a chic new timepiece.

I myself am looking for a new watch, something bold and a bit flirty for the new season that I can wear everyday. There are so many different styles and colours to choose from, I am finding it really hard to pick a favorite! So far I have narrowed it down to the following:

SELMA BLAIR AND LITTLE ARTHUR

10 Apr

Selma-and-Arthur
Such a cute pair, mummy Selma Blair and her little man Arthur. Pictured yesterday enjoying a play-date at the park both mother and son were dressed in matching stripes.

Selma is a big fan of laid-back dressing and this boyfriend-jean look is her latest take on what is to be a big trend this season.

Her mini-me, Arthur, was even more casual in cropped pants, Ralph Lauren T-shirt and little addidas trainers. Despite his dressed down attire, he still managed to look like a stylish little dude.

Get the look.

SPRING FLORALS

8 Apr

Floral-flats
The sun is finally shining, so why not treat yourself to something flirty and feminine ready for Summer?! Go floral - The perfect print if you want to add some elegance to your maternity wardrobe.

This seasons florals are a little more edgier with bolder prints in darker hues. Think sophisticated blooms rather than Spring bouquets.

Some of my favorite maternity and ready-to-wear labels have some ultra-chic styles that I think you will just love. Whether you go all-out floral, or keep it minimal with pretty accessories, there is something for everyone. ... Read More
