POLKA DOTS

9 Apr

Pretty woman
Every season the polka-dot seems to make an appearance. Last year Burberry favoured the print, this year D&G. It's a classic and so easy to wear, making it no wonder the high street also likes to feature polka dots a lot. (And I can't not mention Kate Middleton's penchant to polka dot maternity style. She wore a Topshop style whilst pregnant with George and also introduced him to the world wearing Polka dots. Then more recently it was an ASOS addition that caught her eye.)

When I think of Polka dots I think of that dress in Pretty Woman. You know the one? Where she ... Read More

DAZZLING IN CREAM

12 Mar

Dutchess-cream
I'm not always a fan of the Duchess of Cambridge's style, those persistent nude heels for example, but sometimes she really does nail it. Today pictured visiting the set of Downton Abbey is case in point.

A simple, chic, cream coat, paired with black point-toe-pumps. Two wardrobe classics that just work, and it seems even more so when pregnant. I think it's that maternal glow. Cream is actually a really flattering colour to wear during pregnancy. In-fact, I purchased an oversized non-maternity cream coat whilst pregnant and I wore it a lot! I still wear it now. In this instance ... Read More

MY WEEK

26 Nov

week-2
This past week has been super-hectic, but not actually that exciting. I have mostly been working and in every spare moment frantically trying to tidy and clean the house (in between looking after a recently super-charged toddler, is this a faze?!).We are on the final push to get everything finished in time for Christmas. Carpets fitters are coming on the 20th of December so all painting, electrics, fixtures and fittings need to be finished. The fine film of dust that seems to be covering every surface must also be eradicated. This is my on-going battle!

Work and renovations asid ... Read More

BLOOM AND BLOSSOM

19 Aug

Bloom-and-Blossom
The latest must-have maternity skincare range is from Bloom and Blossom. As well as offering the ultimate in mummy and baby pampering, Bloom and Blossom is the confirmed product of choice for the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate is now using the range as part of her post baby, body-beautiful routine. Worth a go then, no?

Personally I love the sound of the rejuvenating facial spritz . Great for your hospital bag or simply when you need a little pick-me-up. The mother to be gift set would also make a great baby shower gift.

DREAMTONE

KM
Say hello to Dreamtone by Lancome - A seaweed facial that is said to be the ultimate in hydration and the latest must-have treatment for skin pigmentation. Kate Middleton is reported to be a big fan. She had allegedly been using the product as part of her post-baby skincare regime. Sounds like a beautiful-mummy-must-have then?!

Deamtone is available in three made-to-measure formulas, depending on your skin type, developed specifically for each pigmentation profile. The triple action formula has been seven years in the making and is generating a real buzz amongst press and the be ... Read More

KATE MIDDLETON

Kate Middleton always looks so polished, even when she has just given birth!

Pictured leaving the palace  recently in the back of a Range Rover, Kate kept it chic in a blossom print knot front dress by Seraphine as she happily waved to crowds. N.B. how Kate accessorised with over-sized sunglasses to hide those inevitable tired eyes. Big sunnies are a new mum must-have!

KM is said to be a big fan of the maternity label Seraphine, that also specialises in cute nursing wear, apparently she has ordered several other styles!  I am also a fan of Seraph ... Read More

IT’S A BOY!

PRINCE
Firstly, apologies for the lack of posts this last week. There is no excuse, just the fact that I have been away on holiday with limited internet access. I am now home, to a lovely warm and sunny UK (makes a change) and to some wonderful news - A royal Prince!

I excitedly watched the live broadcast as the happy new family left hospital last night and was utterly impressed with how amazing Kate looked, although not surprised. I just loved her dress choice. The chic polka-dot Jenny Packham design that hints at Diana, who also wore polka-dots at William's birth. Will's of course a ... Read More

It was only a matter of time before Kate Middleton decided to dress the royal bump in one of her favorites, Emilia Wickstead.

Pictured today at the Queens annual tea party, she choose a bespoke Marella coat from the British designers collection - A stunning Pea Coat in canary yellow silk, just beautiful and perfectly fitting for such an occasion. (Accessorized with those favorite nude heels and matching clutch of course.)

ROYAL SEAL OF APPROVAL

The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge And Prince Harry Attend The Inauguration Of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden
As with everything  Kate Middleton, if she has it, we all want it. When it comes to maternity wear and baby accessories this could not be more true.

As a more down-to-earth royal, Kate likes to keep it real and wherever possible she tries to support British brands. She is a big fan of Topshop maternity, for example. That cute Polka-dot dress from their maternity range, sold out within an hour of her pictured wearing it. And apparently, according to the Daily Mail, sales of moses baskets have soured over the last few weeks, thanks to Kate being spotted recently purchased one f ... Read More

KATE MIDDLETON

4 May

km-polka
Kate Middleton has already been pictured wearing several styles from the Topshop maternity range. She also loves to shop in-store and was recently spotted pa-rousing the latest collection at their flagship store in London.

During a tour of the Warner Brothers studios, Kate choose to dress her bump in a Topshop Polka-dot tea dress, which sold out within hours of these pictures being aired!

The dress in question was not actually a maternity dress. Which goes to show that if you are clever you can still wear styles from the ready-to-wear collection. (To allow for a ... Read More
