ZARA MATERNITY WEAR

15 Oct

Zara blouse
So I was just browsing Zara on-line for the girls (and for me) and noticed a new maternity section. About time Zara. Great news. It should be good.

Although very limited their maternity pieces don't disappoint. Out of the 11 items on offer (four are 'mum' jeans) I would happily pick any one to wear myself. The minimal and roomy feel is perfect, looking comfortable whilst retaining style. I would perhaps sum it up as a capsule collection for pregnancy. Day to night dress. check. Jeans. check. Blouse. check. My favourite piece is probably the faux leather dress, which I w ... Read More

SHOP SLACKS & CO

SLACKS-AND-CO
I have always been a big fan of Slacks & Co whilst pregnant, for me they are the British version of Hatch Collection. (Another super-stylish maternity brand that is hard to shop this side of the pond.). Excitingly I have just discovered that favourite mother and baby boutique Blossom now have a few pieces as part of their online maternity collection. How fantastic. The perfect portal to shop for you and your little-one-to-be. I don't know about you but I much prefer filling a large basket all in the same place...

Slacks & Co maternity is basically my everyday style tailo ... Read More

SHIRTS

17 Feb

other-stories
As B-day is fast approaching I am starting to think about nursing, and more importantly nursing attire. You think it's hard to remain stylish whilst pregnant, that's nothing compared to the same challenge if you are planning to breastfeed. Enter the shirt. Buttons and breastfeeding are the perfect combination.

I have to tell you there are basically no chic breastfeeding clothes out there. The likes of Babes with Babies and Isabella Oliver have some options, basic vests with those pull down-clips, poncho's and knits. I lived in my foxy feeders for example. Other than tha ... Read More

PICK ME UP

14 Jan

Topshop check shirt
I am now 32 weeks pregnant and feel like my wardrobe needs a little pick me up. By day I have been living in those favorite maternity skinnies, chunky knits and mannish shirts. The investment jeans are still going strong but up top I am struggling. Thanks to that inevitable baby bump, non-maternity styles are starting to look simply too small. There is nothing more unattractive than a pregnant woman trying to squeeze out the last few wears of her regular wardrobe when it just doesn't fit. Today's outfit (maternity jeans 9London and shirt Ralph Lauren) is my case in point. I just a ... Read More

MY WEEK

26 Nov

week-2
This past week has been super-hectic, but not actually that exciting. I have mostly been working and in every spare moment frantically trying to tidy and clean the house (in between looking after a recently super-charged toddler, is this a faze?!).We are on the final push to get everything finished in time for Christmas. Carpets fitters are coming on the 20th of December so all painting, electrics, fixtures and fittings need to be finished. The fine film of dust that seems to be covering every surface must also be eradicated. This is my on-going battle!

RACHEL ZOE

13 Nov

Rachel-Zoe
Not bad for 9 months pregnant? The Hollywood stylish, Rachel Zoe, has just revealed that she is now at full term after keeping her second pregnancy pretty much under-wraps until now.

Pictured in Beverly Hills with her two year old son, Rachel was dressed in her trademark flared jeans and black top, teamed with a metallic jacket from her own collection. She carried an over-sized Hermes tote as her and little Skyler shopped for toys, on what she claims to be one of her last outings before she gives birth.

It's nice to see Rachel adding a bit of sparkle to her usual ... Read More

SIMPLE STYLE

23 Sep

jumpsut
Just like the LBD, a black jumpsuit is a real wardrobe staple. Teamed with the perfect pointy pump and statements jewels, after-dark style never got so easy. This is my kind of dressing. 16 weeks in and already I am looking for minimal effort when it comes to deciding what to wear.

So, with this in mind, Topshop's sheer panel maternity all-in-one is looking very appealing....

P.S also comes in ready-to-wear, if you don't currently have a bump.

Love,

Jess x

SUNDAY PASTIME

15 Sep

Charcola-tweed-long-max-Unique-£180
It's a beautiful Sunday morning with not a cloud in the sky. With coffee in hand (my one coffee ration per day, it has to be a morning one!) and a hearty bowl of bran flakes (my current craving) I am browsing online - London Fashion week is no better time to invest in some new threads, right?

I am looking with a pregnant belly in mind, so this is for all you fellow baby-bumpers. Note however, my shopping is often 'non-maternity', so can work with or without.

Enjoy the sunshine, I hope it is shining where you are?!

Love,
