LUST-LIST

18 Aug

Suede shoe
We have just returned from another wonderful summer in Italy and instantaneously I am feeling the cold! It may still be August but judging by the current weather forecasts 'that great British summer' is long gone. So for now, sartorially, thoughts have turned to Autumn. I'm now thinking pieces that will see me through to winter.

Suede is top of my list for the new season. I fell in love with a suede trench at the beginning of summer which I wore to bits already. Sadly it's gone missing?? How can that happen - last seen in my car. I think about that coat always...Anyway, with sue ... Read More

CLEARANCE

16 Jul

clearance
It's important to remember when shopping the sales - even those amazing bargain clearance items - would I want it full price? If the answer is no then look away.

To avoid being fooled by a discount I like to keep things simple. Searching out classic and timeless pieces means you won't go wrong. Stick to what you know (and wear) best. Denim, cami-basics and a great pair of flats are always a great place to start. I also like to search beachwear and bags. We always head off for some kind of winter sun and finding new holiday pieces in the Winter is near-all impossible. Amongst all ... Read More

SHOE UPDATE

31 Mar

Eytys look
Being a mum of two small children, my shoe wardrobe has become pretty much over-run with flats. No matter how much I love a heel, the flat always seems to win. I just can't be bothered tottering around in heels with little ones in tow. Time is of the essence as it is.

Luckily there are a wealth of beautiful flat options out there, and actually the flat is just as much high fashion as any stiletto. My pair of Valentino rock studs is case in point.  The current go-to for everyday however is a more basic shoe, a little less high-fashion but just as charming in its own way. Specifi ... Read More

DATE NIGHT

16 Feb

IO rosalin
For want of a better word, the perfect look for that dinner-date with the man. Forget the LBD, hello, the jumpsuit.

Elegant and stylish with minimal effort, a black all-in-one should be every girls go-to. Team with point-toe pumps (Jimmy Choos's Anouk in patent leather work best), statement jewels and a Valentino rockstud bag for extra-added signature flair. Right now I am coveting a more laid back design from Michael Korrs. Said suit would be just as fabulous for a paired down look by day. Just add those favourite white sneakers, Sophie Hulme cross-body and Larsson and Jennings ... Read More

VALENTINE, OR VALENTINO?

9 Feb

Valentino
What's on your wishlist this February 14th? Of course, every day should be Valentines day, but it's always nice to have an excuse for presents, no?

For me there is nothing more un-romantic than a Valentines date-night. Tables of two, set menu's and prosecco are not top of my list.  But I will never say no to gifts. A thoughtful present topped off with yummy food, fireside snuggles and a delicious bottle of red. Now that's true love. (Kids in bed, on time, and sleeping through permitting...)

Alternatively, who needs a Valentine, Valentino will do!

LORI BLU

Lori Blu is coming to a Sloane Street near you, and I for one am totally excited.

When I think of Italy I think style (and food). The Italians have both perfectly nailed on the head, and when it comes to fashion, or in this instance shoes, you can't really do any better than 'Made In Italy'. Lori Blu is what I would call the Italian Jimmy Choo. Not yet so famous over here in the UK, but once their flagship store opens (very soon) unrecognised will be a thing of the past.

I'm just happy I know where their outlet store is located. (Right by where I holiday every sum ... Read More

LOVE THEM, HATE THEM?

28 May

IMG_20140528_174931
I have been looking for the perfect pair of summer slides for a while now. Being more of a fashion style I didn't really want to spend too much. I always save the designer shoe for something more classic that you will wear forever. Although If money were no object I would most definitely look straight to Celine or Marant. I also wanted my new slides to be white, so was in the mind set that a white pair of flats that will probably be worn a lot are not going to last more than one season. Then I came across these beauties. The perfect pair - white, celine-esque, with a little ... Read More

MINI-SHOE LOVE

24 Feb

Peacock-print, French Blossom Boutique
It's coming to that time again, new shoes for A. I love shoes and love shopping for mini-shoes. Spring is in the air and Summer just around the corner, which means those wear-with-all winter boots will soon become redundant. Even though this makes me a little bit sad, knowing those favourites will never get worn again (they grow too fast), it is also super exciting shopping for those new additions.

Thankfully children's footwear has come a long way. Clarks?! This makes mini-shoe shopping a lot easier, but at the same time a lot harder. Being sensible you can't g ... Read More

THE TARTAN SNEAKER

14 Jan

celine-tartan-sneaker
The tartan sneaker, a simple, chic, slip-on, brought to you last fall by Celine and lusted after by myself ever since. Unfortunately said pair were a sell-out (let me know if you find where I can still purchase?! I am thinking these would be perfect for post-baby walking in style.) but you can now buy into the trend once again thanks to the high street (here) and at a fraction of the cost. I would hurry up though as these too are flying fast.

I love with a bare leg, but seeing as we are still in the throws of winter a leather pant and chunky sweater will have to do. Shall I?

TOO GOOD TO BE MISSED

20 Dec

Chanel-Vintage
I know it's Christmas and a time for giving, but the Matches sale is just too good to be missed. With up to 50% off some of the most coveted style items, it really is hard not to get carried away. Isabel Marant wedge sneakers, Gianvito Rossi pumps, Sharouk jewels, Chanel bags and too many fabulous clothes to mention specifics, I could happily re-stock my entire wardrobe. Luckily I am a little more disciplined than you might think and will just stick to the classic must-haves. Would I buy it full price? Or those pieces I have been lusting after since they first hit stores (Isa ... Read More
