GREY

4 Sep

Camilla-shift1
The hottest hue this season, it's all about grey.

I don't know what it is but there is something effortlessly chic about a grey blouse or shift?  And Madderson London have just re-emphasised this with their latest AW14 collection. The signature Camilla shift re-worked in Jaquard is case in point. As is their new addition Florence Blouse in grey. Pregnant and working in town? (Or simply looking for a statement maternity piece.) - You need look no further.

Shop here. I will be shopping here.

KNITS

28 Aug

photo-36
I have a feeling summer is on it's way out and there are only a few more weeks left of cropped looks and slides.... These past few mornings chunky knits have been calling me. I have managed to resist so far, however this has not stopped me looking out for new additions. This season the bigger the better, which is something I am really happy about, and is also great if you are with bump. You can't beat a cosey oversized woolly. Wear with leather leggings or those favourite skinnies for everyday style.

Currently I am drawn to any shade of grey ... Read More

SHIRT DRESSING

20 Aug

photo-111
It's that in between stage. Not warm enough for full-on summer dressing but still OK for bare legs to show off a bit of that holiday tan. My go-to? A shirt dress. Button front, perfect for breast feeding, just haven't had a chance to wear any other kind of dress this season, long sleeved, and great with a chunky knit if it decides to rain. Can't really make up it's mind these days can it...?

The shirt dress is also perfect as a maternity look. Loose-fitting to accommodate that bump and button (or wrap) front for when required post-baby. Isabella Oliver maternity have an ... Read More

TINY-TOE STYLING

7 Jul

IMG_20140707_104538
As a shoe lover (what girl isn't?) having a mini-me is so much fun when it comes to styling those tiny-toes. A has an extremely extensive collection of shoes and E is not far behind. What is so great about having two girls is that investing in quality footwear means you can save them for number two. My idea being a good selection will mean no one pair gets worn to death, and remains in fabulous quality for little sis. Like my logic?

When it comes to those quality pairs, style needs to be in conjunction. Let's just say I am not a fan of inch blue, and wherever possible I ... Read More

LORI BLU

Lori Blu is coming to a Sloane Street near you, and I for one am totally excited.

When I think of Italy I think style (and food). The Italians have both perfectly nailed on the head, and when it comes to fashion, or in this instance shoes, you can't really do any better than 'Made In Italy'. Lori Blu is what I would call the Italian Jimmy Choo. Not yet so famous over here in the UK, but once their flagship store opens (very soon) unrecognised will be a thing of the past.

I'm just happy I know where their outlet store is located. (Right by where I holiday every sum ... Read More

THE ALL IN ONE

2 Jun

IMG_20140602_171013
This weekend was another taster to the hopeful Summer sunshine that we are all longing to last more than one or two days. With temperatures just about warm enough for bare legs I looked to my more summery wardrobe pieces. The MiH Jeans boiler suit is one of my favourite everyday denim staples and I was pleased to be able to bring it out of hibernation. This is such a versatile piece that can be thrown on with not much thought at all. (My kind of clothing right now.) The zip front is also perfect for breastfeeding.

Team with a sneaker for day-time-cool and add a chunky knit when ... Read More

LOVE THEM, HATE THEM?

28 May

IMG_20140528_174931
I have been looking for the perfect pair of summer slides for a while now. Being more of a fashion style I didn't really want to spend too much. I always save the designer shoe for something more classic that you will wear forever. Although If money were no object I would most definitely look straight to Celine or Marant. I also wanted my new slides to be white, so was in the mind set that a white pair of flats that will probably be worn a lot are not going to last more than one season. Then I came across these beauties. The perfect pair - white, celine-esque, with a little ... Read More

WHAT TO WEAR

23 May

Miranda-kerr
Wedding season is creeping up, and for some i'm sure has already started. So it's time to start thinking and planning that new statement piece.

Last year we had five weddings. This year just one. (Actually two but unfortunately they both fall on the same day.) Due to this fact I only need one new look I am going to treat myself to something extra nice...by September I am hoping my body will also be 100% pre-preggy so I can actually get excited about shopping again. (Still not quite there yet but to be fair Evelyn is only nine weeks old.) So, what to wear?

I am thi ... Read More

SHOP SLACKS & CO

SLACKS-AND-CO
I have always been a big fan of Slacks & Co whilst pregnant, for me they are the British version of Hatch Collection. (Another super-stylish maternity brand that is hard to shop this side of the pond.). Excitingly I have just discovered that favourite mother and baby boutique Blossom now have a few pieces as part of their online maternity collection. How fantastic. The perfect portal to shop for you and your little-one-to-be. I don't know about you but I much prefer filling a large basket all in the same place...

Slacks & Co maternity is basically my everyday style tailo ... Read More
